Circa Diem

This work was made in collaboration with scientist, Robyn Womack and her research at Glasgow University's field lab on the impact of light pollution on the circadian rhythm of wild birds. This internal body clock is what tells birds when to wake up and start singing at the same time each day. My response was to develop a kinetic sound piece. This work relied on a clock work motion to activate a sound which, through feedback, approximated the sound of bird song or dawn chorus.
